Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, a cheaper version of last year’s Tab 3. This has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera. It would come in Wi-Fi only and 3G variants similar to the Tab 3.

It has Samsung Link, Samsung Voice and comes pre-loaded with Samsung ChatON, Dropbox, Polaris Office and Flipboard apps. It is not clear if the 3G version has voice calling since the  images doesn’t reveal an earpiece. According to the recently leaked manual the tablet packs a dual-core Marvell PXA986 processor with Vivante GC1000 GPU.

  • 3,600 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 comes in Black and White colors and would go on sale globally. No word on availability or pricing yet. Last month’s leak revealed that this would be Samsung’s cheapest Galaxy tablet. Hope this would be priced less than Rs. 10,000, cheaper than Galaxy Tab 3 210.
