3		What are your current processes/procedures for Early Childhood Evaluations?
4			I would like to know if any districts have a screening process to determine whether refusal or consent should take place regarding parent referrals on-non school age kids
5		Receive evaluation from ECI provider and begin assessment. Diag and SLP at early childhood centers complete the evals.
6		Early childhood diag / SLP who is based on 1 campus that has majority of little bitties ... she will support diag / SLPss at other elementary campus who receive these referrals if they are uncomfortable with evaluation	District-wide assessment team
7		Meet with ECI; have transition meeting; bring child back for play-based assessment (usually DACI), parent interview, collect data from ECI	Parent referrals on non school age kids: Intake meeting, then get consent to evaluate- we evaluate all
8		If there are many referrals, sometimes work on Saturday to get them done.

10		What play based assessments do you use? The Bayley for some students. With true play based assessment, there is not a formal evaluation. Region 10 is looking to get a "Texas" friendly presenter concerning play based assessments

13		We review the referral packet, then meet with parents before deciding what type of evaluation will be appropriate. We get consent at this meeting.

17		What are your processes/procedures for Summer ECI transitions and referrals?

19		We are compling a list of students that will require summer evals, then are determining how many days we will be working. We are using the summer school and ESY staff in the ARD, as well as a PPCD teacher.	Have already started transition mtgs to set up assessment mtgs. 4 blocks each week designated for ECI mtgs to schedule summer ARDs

21		ECI contacting us already to complete summer birthdays before end of this school year; try to avoid summer ARDs	Pretty much play it by ear every year :)
22		summer eval team designated to be called in in case of last-minute referral; utilizing sped teachers that are dual-certified so that one can serve as gen ed and another can serve as sped teacher in ARD meetings	Stagger contract days so they have evaluation coverage during the summer.
