My name is Jason Reagin and I am a highly experienced international educator.  I have been teaching and leading overseas for 20 of the past 26 years.  I have been fortunate enough to experience many different types of educational systems.

In 2006, I received a graduate certification from the University of Georgia in Educational Leadership.  This is an add-on certification to the E.S.O.L. and Technology Education Teacher certifications that I also hold.  I have had the privilege to lead many different types of teams in school successfully.  Whether IB steering committees or subject departments, I have a successful track record of leadership.  I have a ‘people person’ demeanor and believe in building strong teams through collaboration and a positive spirit of mutual respect.

Since 2008 I have participated in IB Educator Network (IBEN) sponsored events worldwide.  To date, I have attended and conducted IB workshops, consulted for candidate MYP schools, acted as a visiting team leader, and served as a field representative for on-site regional workshops for IB visits that total over 80 IB events (in more than a dozen countries).  I am currently working on several ‘advanced development’ projects with the IB which involved planning new workshop iterations and so on.  This accounts for a wealth of experience that few educators possess.  I have experience observing and providing evaluation feedback to teachers and this allows me to relate and empathize with teachers, parents and students alike.

In April of 2016, I was invited to serve as an Associate Inspector for the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB). In June of 2016, I was appointed by the IB to act as a liaison between the IB MYP curriculum managers in The Hague and independent MYP Design teachers.  The role is entitled MYP Design Lead Educator and involves interacting with other Design teachers globally and curating updated teacher and student samples for the Teacher Support Materials and MYP Design Workshops worldwide.

I have proven that I genuinely care about the wider school community through my actions and deeds within and outside the walls of the school building.  This is invaluable with regards to promoting the reputation of your organization in the region and around the world.
